Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide quality end-of-life care to patients in hospice settings, ensuring comfort and dignity during their final stages.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
- Ensure patients' comfort by managing pain and symptoms effectively
Requirements:
- Valid RN license with experience in hospice or palliative care
- Proficient in infant care, tube feeding, airway management, and aseptic techniques
- Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and nursing home regulations
- Familiarity with coding systems and electronic medical records
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Experience in travel nursing is a plus
