OVERVIEW
The Manager of Technology Training manages the daily operations for the development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of technology training programs and other related services to assigned employees, clients and customers to enable them to improve their skills and seek competitive employment. This manager works cross functionally with staff to ensure training competency is maintained in all positions in all departments. This position develops and implements technology training programs and other related services to assigned employees, clients and customers to enable them to improve their skills and seek competitive employment. This position ensures quality compliance of the certification programs and makes certain that certification documentation is recorded and appropriate reports are accurate and current with the government, education, Goodwill and other accrediting bodies.

JOB DESCRIPTION
· Manages, evaluates and trains all technology trainers, usually between 3 and 5 full time employees.
· Develops, implements, trains and monitors training in established programs to ensure success of the clients as they pursue training toward employment.
· Provides general training to appropriate clients in areas to include: job readiness, retail training, customer service, basic computer skills, etc.
· Conducts internal compliance audits of all certification programs and recommends adjustments to resources to accomplish programs' goals as necessary.
· Facilitates continuous improvement in the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of all certification programs.
· Works with the Marketing Department staff regarding printed and electronic information concerning the certification programs.
· Supervises trainers to ensure delivery of a cohesive education program that is in keeping with the core competencies identified in each certification program.
· Provides instruction to Goodwill clients and staff on various topics, including: Introduction to Computers, Keyboarding Skills, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Productivity programs, Resume Composition, Career Skills, etc. as needed.
· Provides administrative oversight of all technology related certification programs. Serves as a central source of communications for all certification programs. Tracks reports and enrollment trends and pre/post training assessments.
· Develops and implements client training programs in response to client, department and external funding needs.
· Controls the design, evaluation, and re-design of training as necessary to align to company initiatives and strategies.
· Plans and creates training materials for use with employees, clients and external customers to enhance their skill level and development paths.
· Develops and manages a master training calendar and the schedule of all employee training sessions, prepares a variety of reports, memoranda, correspondence, newsletters, bulletins, and records related to the training and professional development functions.
· Works with Goodwill leadership to identify and develop company wide-training initiatives that cost-effectively focus employee training and development toward achievement of both business and personal career goals.
· Performs the various tasks associated with all of the functions of the Career Solution centers. Assists with, or supplements the work of staff as needed.
· Manages the administration of the department, tasks to include but not be limited to billing, budget and expense management.
· Regular reliable attendance, as defined in Goodwill's attendance policy.
· Drive to the various locations to deliver training.
· Other duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's degree in a business or social service related area such as Communications, Business Management, Industrial Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling or Public Service or equivalent experience is required.
Experience
· Minimum of two years in administrative coordination related to training and development is required.
· Business or social services related experience such as supervisory management, training, rehabilitation counseling, job coaching, public service or equivalent experience.
Knowledge/Skills
· Knowledgeable of and complies with all company policies and procedures as well as legal requirements at all times.
· Excellent verbal and written communication.
· Good personnel management skills.
· Aptitude to apply critical thinking to issues and concerns.
· Ability to analyze and solve problems and make decisions, both independently and in conjunction with others.
· Ability to work well with a variety of people.
· Ability to coordinate multiple certification programs with multiple employees and clients at one time.
· Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and work to advance internal processes.
· Must have computer technology skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook & Power Point software.
· Ability to handle multiple overlapping activities while being attentive to detail.
· Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
· Ability to relate in a professional, courteous manner to other facility staff, within and outside of Goodwill.
· Ability to provide monthly reports of training activities and accomplishments.
· Strong analytical skills and problem solving capabilities.
Proven track record in managing time and prioritization of tasks..
Preferred Certifications and Licenses
· Microsoft Master Instructor
Preferred Education / Experience /Knowledge & Skills / Certifications & License
· Prior experience in a learning and development role or related /similar business function.
· Experience in providing services to customers is preferred.
· Experience in writing and developing training curriculum and related materials.
· Experience with adults with disabilities, particularly in a vocational setting is preferred.is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,828.43 - $62,000.00 per year
