Job Title: Triage RN Onsite: 1.0 FTE

SUMMARY: RN will work in a team approach involving care and management of patients. RN will assist physician by providing direct and indirect patient care in a clinical setting. Duties include but are not limited to, interviewing patients, obtaining vital signs, reporting findings to provider and carrying out recommended orders given by provider while working within RN scope of practice.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Return patients phone calls in a timely manner
· Occasionally triage symptom calls from patients
· Works with the Triage RN to identify emergent versus non-emergent situations
· Assist walk-in patients by collecting information, vital signs, pain level, and review medication list. RN will then report information to provider, or collaborate with Triage RN to ensure timely assessment and treatment
· Addressing tickets assigned to RN within a triage system portal to include but not limited to prescription refills, lab results, case management
· Complete tasks within EMR to follow up on patients as directed by physician
· Assist back office MA with clinical referrals as needed (ie: Anticoagulation, Lymphedema, Hospice, Home Health, Oxygen, Blood Transfusions/Exchange, and Physical Therapy)
· Detailed documentation of all activities completed within the patient’s chart
· Liaison between patient and provider to ensure orders are carried out and patients’needs are met in a timely manner.
Job Requirements
Education/Certification
· Current Washington State RN License
· One-year experience in clinical setting preferred
· Current BLS certification or recertification within one month of hire
Technical Skills
· Must have good working knowledge of computer systems with emphasis on Word, Excel, and other programs related to the position
· Ability to operate basic office equipment such as telephones, computers, fax and copy machines
Communication Skills
· Must possess the ability to speak with staff, physicians, visitors, vendors, patients and the general public in a tactful, diplomatic and pleasant manner
· Must possess the ability to work harmoniously (in a team setting) with all staff
· Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and retain confidentiality
· Must be capable of clear and timely written/verbal communication with peers, professional staff, physicians, and management
Organizational Skills
· Must be organized, a self-starter, and must have an eye for detail and accuracy
· Must possess an ability to individually complete assignments
Working Conditions
· Work is performed in an office environment involving contact with physicians, patients and the public.
· Daily workload includes but is not limited to multiple phone calls, emails, tasks and triage system tickets.
· Must have the ability to travel among assigned office locations
· Must attend meetings and/or trainings as required
Typical Physical Demands
· Ability to stand, walk, or sit for an extended period of time
· Requires frequent bending, stooping, or reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
· Able to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $91,891.00 per year
