Our company does chemical cleaning of the manufacturing parts for the semiconductor industry. Our future Quality Engineer has the following knowledge, experience and proficiencies.
Responsibilities:
- Drive and support quality and continuous improvement activities to meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations
- Coordinate activities associated with First Article of new products and/or new processes, applying a proactive approach to ensure quality in the process
- Prepare qualification packages and First Article reports
- Identify strategies and actions necessary to improve key performance metrics
- Perform data analysis and help optimize data collection methods
- Support Production to minimize non-value added processes like rework, unnecessary steps, process bottlenecks, unorganized flow, etc.
- Review and disposition potential discrepancies reported via DMR process
- Assist in driving Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA), RCCA and 8D activities
- Respond to Customer issues or concerns in a timely manner, using established response formats if applicable (8Ds, CAPAs, etc.)
- Perform kit failure and/or root-cause analysis to investigate and evaluate defective products or processes, identifying root causes, and recommending changes to eliminate future failures
- Review and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or processes
- Conform to safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution; or a minimum of 3-4 years of related experience and/or training; or an adequate combination of education and experience that would demonstrate the capability to perform the role.
- Prior experience in semiconductors industry is beneficial.
- Must have specific knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 or ISO 13485
- Proficient communication skills to work with production personnel, PMs, and engineers
- Strong adaptability to implement engineering and customer changes and maximize efficiencies
- Strong time management skills to balance various project build simultaneously
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a demanding environment, demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills – Six Sigma, PDCA, A3 experience.
- Experience with development and maintenance of Control Plans, PFMEA
- Ability to read / interpret product prints and specifications.
- Background in and abilities in statistical analysis, DOE preferred
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent attendance, must be willing to work overtime
