Server Assistant - Ted's Sweetwater Grill
Job Summary
The primary responsibility of a Server Assistant is to set tables with clean linens and silverware and remove soiled dishes, glassware and silverware from the tables. Secondary responsibilities include proper maintenance and cleaning of side stations, floors, furniture, restrooms and perform other duties as assigned. Although the Server Assistant typically works in the dining room assisting the food server, there are times when a Server Assistant may be assigned to the bar to assist the bar server or bartender.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers.
- Clear used and/or unneeded dishes and glassware from guests, tables, and any other surfaces.
- Help maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant. Including, restrooms, floors, tables, bar, server stations, organization, etc.
- Respond to guests requests.
- Run food and drinks.
- Greet guests, as needed.
Qualifications
- Positive and hardworking personality is essential
- High School Diploma preferred
- Six months’ experience in a restaurant environment desired, but not required
- Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers
- Must be a team player
- Willing to work for extended periods of time without sitting
- Required to lift furniture and other heavy items
- Must be able to use stairways frequently
- Will be required to be available for work on all major holidays
- Must meet minimum state age requirements

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop or kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position may be either seasonal, part-time or full-time, depending on company needs. Days and hours of work vary based on need. Frequent evening and weekend work is required.
