The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for receiving and accurately recording received materials in company software (Quickbooks and MRP System), putting materials in their designated location, performing cycle counts on existing inventory, picking parts to fill parts orders, packing and shipping parts orders.
JOB DUTIES
- Receive materials shipments from vendors, verify materials received against purchase orders for accuracy.
- Update MRP system with received items.
- Store materials/parts in their designated locations.
- Perform cycle counts n a regular basis - reconcile on hand quantities to system quantities - report any needed adjustments.
- Pick and pack parts orders to be shipped to customers.
- Confirm parts quantities shipped are correct on internal copy of paperwork.
- Forward paperwork to billing for final review and processing.
- Performs other duties that may be required.
EXPERIENCE
2+ years related experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Basic understanding of and ability to use inventory programs (Quickbooks and/or MRP driven inventory system)
- Detail Oriented
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Ability to work independently to meet required goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of standing and bending required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
