CC Young, a vibrant senior living community and a non-profit leader in senior living and Health Care is seeking a Dining Supervisor responsible for providing dining services which meet dietary standards of practice, regulatory requirements and guidelines for Independent Living, Assisted Living and Health Center. While carrying out the policies and procedures of C. C. Young to ensure that the best quality of food is delivered to the residents
Job duties include, but not limited to:
- Train dietary aides to ensure all standards of food handling procedures are properly followed and good sanitation and safety practices are being performed.
- Maintain dietary monitors in all areas (such as refrigerator, dish machine and food temperatures). A well as identify and report hazardous conditions or equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform weekly dietary check list in assigned areas ensuring compliance. Report results and findings to Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee and Director of Food Service.
- Make daily rounds in assigned areas and evaluate dietary services assuring proper performance of staff and the maintenance of dietary standards
- Counsel and evaluate staff regarding their job performance in consultation with the Director of Food Service and Director of Human Resources. Makes recommendations for raises based on employee evaluations.
- Implement the policies of the Facility to provide quality dietary services to the residents.
- Assist with planning and preparing for special functions.
- A member of the interview team. Selects most qualified applicants by screening and
- contacting references etc.
- Ensure that all areas are secure, and food is properly stored prior to leaving.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Must have successfully completed the Food Safety Manager course.
- Knowledge of current regulatory standards.
- At least 2 years of Kitchen Experience.
- Working knowledge of being able to perform and carry out the functions needed for altered consistencies/textures (i.e. mechanical soft ground, mech soft chopped, and puree).
- Prior experience in Health Care/ Senior Living Environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to train, supervise and direct dining personnel in their proper duties and in accepted dining procedures and techniques.
- Ability to take initiative and make independent judgements of routine and special dietary needs in all areas.
Pay Rage: $19.25 - $21.25
