We are working exclusively with our non-profit client, which currently lacks defined internal competencies and often creates job postings on the fly. Recognizing the need for a more sustainable approach, they are seeking to implement a structured competency-based system. The organization comprises 40% unionized employees and 60% non-unionized employees.
Our client is seeking an Organizational Development Consultant to develop a competency-based structure similar to the union system but focused on skills rather than tenure. This role involves identifying core competencies and creating pathways for vertical growth within the organization.
Start Date: Late July/Early August
Duration: 4 months
Hours: Part-time with fluctuating hours
Location: Virtual
Experience Required:
- Strong organizational development experience
- Expertise in creating competency mapping and pathways for growth
- Experience in identifying benchmarking standards
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfort working with non-profit or start-up organizations
- Experience working with unions is preferred but not required

The pay range for this is $65.00 to $80.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
