Our CAD department has an immediate opening to join our team as an entry-level CAD Technician in our Electrical and Instrumentation/Controls design team. Here at Keller Associates all aspects of the design are done in house! An entry-level CAD Technician is needed to team up with other technicians and engineers to prepare construction plans that include power distribution drawings, electrical layouts, installation details, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, panel design, and cable and conduit schedules for a variety of infrastructure improvement projects. Responsibilities include:
- Learn company CAD standards (understanding layer systems and annotations standards)
- Learn and understand software to perform tasks efficiently
- Create details and plan sheets for structures, site design, utilities, etc.
- Make changes to drawings or designs based on strict writeups
- Occasional site visits of construction projects
- Willing to work on a variety of projects, software, and disciplines
- Work under the direction of a design technician
- Work as part of a team to create design plans for construction projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Drafting/CAD Technology or related field
- 0-4 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in AuotCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or Microstation
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Good understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Motivated to learn new skills
- Capable of working as part of a team or independently
- The ability to meet deadlines
