Ballington Academy is a Public Charter School Educating Students from Transitional Kindergarten to Fifth Grade. Job Opportunity:
Under the general supervision of the Principal, the Office Assistant II will be responsible for providing clerical support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet all parents and visitors ensuring that proper documentation and identification is procured.
- Maintains all staff emergency cards to ensure they are current.

Responsible for front desk coverage and directing telephone calls to the correct recipient.

Distribute incoming mail, ensure mail goes out in a timely manner.

Responsible for tracking and maintaining monthly inventory of office supplies and for providing the supply order to the EHS Director’s office in a timely manner.

Maintain a well-organized and clean work environment.

Handles work orders for facilities-related and maintenance needs.

Provides clerical support to the school.

Communicates with all staff, parents, and visitors in a positive, courteous, helpful, and encouraging manner in all situations.

Attends Staff Meetings.

Maintains parent, child, staff, and program confidentiality.
- Other duties assigned.

Required Credentials, Abilities and Experience:
Education:

High School Diploma.
- Competency in Business English
Experience:
-
At least 3 years of experience in an office assistant/clerical role.
Knowledge and Skills:

Must have ability to read, write, and speak English. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Excellent customer service skills and professional phone manner.

Communication skills that foster appropriate interaction with staff and outside agencies.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
