The Construction Risk Manager is responsible for assisting with overall management of comprehensive risk management program with a concentration on risk identification, risk transfer and risk retention techniques. Coordinates closely with operations/project management, while implementing risk management policies and procedures to protect company s assets and minimize liability exposures.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Identify, quantify, analyze, mitigate and manage project risk, schedule risk and resources risk.
Managing project constraints and documenting risk.
Analyze and understand risks and potential risk mitigation opportunities; interact with operational groups to ensure coordination between project activities.
Manage master risk program, including reporting and premium allocations.
Analyze and provide appropriate prequalification feedback on subcontractor partners.
Assist with internal communication and advertising strategies related to all risk management initiatives.
Write technically detailed reports that provide a clear assessment of risk and clearly articulate recommendations
Perform other duties as assigned.
Attention to detail
Understanding of construction and construction means and methods
Qualities
Must be proficient using Primavera Risk Analysis or similar software.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the preparation, development of Risk Assessment.
Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and scheduling success is a must.
Must be able to help with technical training and support other key members.
Someone with strong analytical skills that can measure risk is strongly preferred.
Strong communications skills and relationship-building skills.
Ability to write reports using distinctive style
Ability to assist in developing effective and persuasive presentations
Good judgment and reasoning ability, enabling problem solving with a variety of options in varying situations

Experience
Bachelor s degree (BA/BS) (engineering and/or construction management a plus)
Minimum of 5 year’s experience in risk management/project controls / program controls; experience on multiple sides of the business (i.e., consultant, owner, owner rep, contract/architect, contractor, engineer) a plus
Field experience preferred
BIM and scheduling knowledge a plus
Salary: $170,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
