POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager is responsible for working within the Mavericks Sponsorship team to strategize, implement, and track sponsorship elements for the Dallas Mavericks. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all sponsorship assets efficiently flow from the Activation team to internal and external stakeholders. The Manager will maintain departmental processes and update all necessary parties on the progress of their assets.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
IMPLEMENTATION AND REPORTING OF SPONSORSHIP ASSETS AND DELIVERABLES
- Traffic all necessary media to external parties and provide reports to consistently track asset performance and ensure contracted elements are fulfilled
- Assist in the coordination and execution of campaigns on behalf of sponsors across marketing, digital, game presentation, content, broadcast, community, Mavs Academy, Mavs Gaming, and events
- Act as primary liaison between Corporate Sponsorship team and Mavs Content team from start to finish to ensure social campaigns are launched effectively on all Mavs Digital Platforms (Dallas Mavs Social, Mavs Off Court Social, Studio41, Mavs Gaming, and mavs.com)
- Monitor active Sponsorship social campaigns and provide necessary reports on performance to Sponsorship Activation team
- Coordinate the procurement of print and premium items
- Provide support to Activation and Sales teams for recap and pitch presentations
- Ensure Mavs and NBA Guidelines are being adhered to across all projects
REVENUE GENERATION AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
- Develop and maintain sponsorship asset inventory reports and communicate availability as needed to Sponsorship Team
- Identify and present new activation ideas to drive upsell revenue by utilizing internal resources and sales tactics
- Utilize data analysis to monitor assets to maximize effectiveness and achieve expected ROI for sponsors
INTERDEPARTMENTAL AND EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
- Maintain and communicate trafficking schedules and asset specs to the sponsorship activation team
- Monitor current processes within the Sponsorship department and provide ongoing recommendations for continued improvement
- Coordinate with part time gameday staff to guarantee in-arena signage assets are being recorded. This includes scheduling staff and approving payroll

- Proven experience in building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external parties or stakeholders
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- College Degree (advertising/marketing ideal) with practical experience in sports
- Experience in stadiums/arenas or high-volume special events is preferred.
- 3-5 years meaningful experience in sponsorship, marketing, or project management
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Experience within the following platforms categories is preferred:
- CRM or Inventory management software such as KORE or Salesforce
- Project management software such as Asana
- Print and broadcast production processes preferred
- Experience in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work home games as necessary – including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 15-20 lbs.
