Responsibilities:
- Verify time card records and process payroll on a weekly basis
- Conduct interviews and hire for entry-level store positions
- On-board and maintain employee documents and records from start of their employment
- Resolve employee conflicts with HR best practices in mind
- Provide direction and support for staff regarding benefits and requests
- Maintain records of employees' performance, such as attendance, PTO balances
- Issue and confirm end-of-employment notices with HR best practices in mind
- Follow up with external requests regarding labor and payroll, such as insurance audits, UI claims, alimony, etc.
- Assist in store operations
- Assist in training of employees
- Generate and provide reports related to personnel as requested
- Assist other departments on general tasks as necessary
Requirements:
- Authorized to work in the U.S
- Able to speak both English and Chinese (Mandarin) fluently
- Hold or working towards a BS degree in Human Resources or similar
- Proven working experience in human resources with a strong understanding of common labor regulations and laws in NYC and the US
- Experienced with HRIS systems
- Able to utilize MS Office with high proficiency, especially Excel, Word
- Able to communicate professionally, clearly and concisely with co-workers
- Able to interact and communicate productively and professionally with co-workers
- Able to work well under pressure and multitask
- Able to take initiative when working and does not require specific directions to solve problems at hand

- Able to utilize MS Office with high proficiency, especially Excel, Word
- Able to type at least 60 words per minute
- Able to work a regular schedule of Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, with open flexibility to work on all other days if necessary for business needs
- Able to work full time (at least 40 hours a week) and flexible as necessary
- Able to work well under pressure and multitask
- Able to work fast/expeditiously
- Able to work in our restaurants for all shifts (day, night, weekends) in all positions (front of house, kitchen, etc.) as part of training. Experience in restaurant/hospitality/retail a bonus
