As a Wind Laborer, your primary responsibility will be to assist in all phases of wind construction and maintenance projects. This includes component installation, site preparation, material handling, nacelle and rotor installation, safety compliance, wind turbine repair, documentation, and collaboration with team members. The Wind Laborer plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe execution of construction tasks, utilizing a variety of tools and equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment. Your duties will involve clearing construction sites, transporting small components, assembling turbine components, replacing turbine components, installing component wiring, conducting safety inspections, and maintaining equipment. Additionally, the Wind Labour will be tasked with maintaining machinery through operational tests, torque checks, lubrication, and verifying coolant levels are correct, as well as following detailed work instructions to perform tasks on machinery. Overall, your contributions as a Wind Laborer will be vital in supporting the growth and success of projects while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, you will learn the fundamentals of wind turbine maintenance, repair, and installation, while also gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and growing field.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, including equipment inspections, maintenance tasks, and repair activities.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the maintenance of a clean and hazard-free work environment.
What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma or GED. Associate's degree is a bonus, but not required.
Valid Driver's License
Basic understanding of mechanical systems and principles, with a willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to read and interpret documents, and follow instructions, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
Ability to deal with problems involving at least one concrete variable in standardized situations.
Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus because of potential work in close confines.
Employees must be physically fit enough to free climb 300 ft multiple times a day while wearing 25+ lbs. of climbing gear and work in extreme weather conditions.
Must be capable of rescuing team mates anywhere in tower in the event of emergency.
We care about the safety and wellbeing of every one of our employees. To help ensure their safety, any employees climbing a wind turbine must use a Personal Fall Arrest System, and may not exceed the system’s maximum weight capacity of 309 lbs. This weight must include the individual, their tooling, uniform, and personal protective equipment. Based on these safety requirements and the standard weight of equipment, employees who climb wind turbines may not exceed a maximum personal body weight of 260 lbs.
