JOB PURPOSE: The Supply Chain Director is a critical leadership role for Aramex USA and will be key contributor to the overall organizational success by ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods and services, ultimately contributing to customer satisfaction and overall business performance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage the strategic and commercial relationship with the on-site Customer.
- Strategically plan and set direction for the logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services in conjunction with the leadership teams.
- Develop long-term supply chain strategies, aligning with company goals, and leading transformational initiatives.
- Foster relationships with departments such as procurement, sales, and finance to create an integrated approach to supply chain management.
- Manage the supply chain, handling and optimizing the international logistics, including the import and export regulations.

- Skillfully use data to forecast trends, assess performance, and make informed decisions, reporting regularly to Senior leadership supported by data.
- Continuously drive optimization of the supply chain process to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans.
- Inspire and guide teams towards achieving supply chain objectives that are aligned with global business goals.
- Strategically source and secure the best suppliers and negotiate cost effective contracts in conjunction with procurement team.
- Oversee logistics, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
- Implement process improvements and technological innovations to enhance efficiency.
- Oversee the optimization of warehouse operations using lean methodologies.
- Delivering cost-reduction initiatives without compromising product quality.
Drive the commercial growth of the supply chain in Houston.
- Establish and promote a safe and secure workplace.
- Sets and drives achievement of Service Level Agreements (SLA’s), reporting on same and addressing non conformance.
- Facilitate the flow of information and communication both horizontally and vertically. •Manage the supply chain and its people in line with Company policies and procedures.
- Manage quality audits and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Make key strategic decisions, originate action and be responsible for the consequences of the decisions made.
SKILLS, COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven working experience as a Supply Chain Director.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in global supply chain management and international trade regulations. Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills, with a track record of improving supply chain processes.
Expertise in strategic sourcing and vendor management.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. • Certifications in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM).
- Experience in digital transformation projects within supply chain contexts.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in supply chain operations.
- Multilingual capabilities for international communication – preferable.
- Ability to present sound and well-reasoned arguments to convince others.
- Adapts and works effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups.
- Must have a collaborative and team player approach.
