Physical Therapy Supervisor
Our organization has an exciting position available for a Physical Therapy Supervisor. The position involves the supervision and administration of a busy department of several therapists servicing an outpatient physician group and the local community.
The Supervisor is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and administering all activities within the physical therapy department and ensuring effective delivery of clinical patient care.
Responsibilities include the effective delivery of services and programs, compliance with administrative policies and procedures, and the development of physical therapy strategic objectives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (As a Physical Therapist)
- Evaluates patients to obtain and interpret data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
- Analyzes evaluation results to identify the patients major problems, establishes goals with the patient, and develops and adjusts treatment programs.
- Performs treatments based on evaluation results aimed at increasing a patients functional level. This includes but is not limited to developing or restoring strength, coordination, endurance, range of motion, and motor skills, or relieving pain as well as applying physical agents such as heat, cold, electricity, light and water.
- Records evaluations, daily treatment notes, monthly progress notes, and discharge summaries timely and completely.
- Records Treatment charges daily, accurately and timely manner.
- Participates in the planning and developing of existing and new programs, procedures and policies.
- Consistently demonstrate professionalism, respect and confidentiality with patients and staff.
Supervisory Duties and responsibilities:
- Supervises Physical Therapists and aides in direct patient care and related activities.
- Works with Administrator to assure staffing for the clinic is adequate in meeting patient needs.
- Assist with hiring process for clinic staff and provides adequate tool and training for the success and future growth of new personnel.
- Motivates staff, provides praise and constructive feedback and coaches as necessary
- Facilitates resolution and promotes TEAMWORK..
- Presents staff performance evaluations in an effective and timely manner
- Periodically audits medical records, patient charges and documentation for compliance with regulations and clinical policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with administrator and TMPN billing
- Maintains and promotes effective relationships with physicians and other healthcare providers who utilize or have an interest in utilizing the services of the department
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- Two (2) years’ experience as a licensed physical therapist in an out-patient facility.
- Thorough knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices.
- Working knowledge of basic computer programs.
•EMR proficiency
- Ability to work effectively in a team and fosters a team building approach with co-workers.
- Excellent leadership and customer service skills
- Previous Management/Supervisory experience preferred

Pay: $41.41 - $67.02 per hour
