Insight Global is searching for an MRI Supervisor. This MRI Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and supervising the technical aspects of their MRI team. This includes overseeing all services and programs rendered, resulting in a uniform and systemized department. Supervise daily activities in the assigned area, ensuring adequate coverage for all scanners or work assignments. This supervision includes monitoring staff productivity levels, accuracy of exam protocols (including all required data parameters and measurements), and ensuring appropriate care and monitoring. Coordinate and organize patient or work task flow within the assigned department, prioritizing procedures and adjusting workloads as needed. Ensure that adequate patient care is provided in relation to the requested procedures. Validate the quality of exams and the final product performed by all staff within the section. Participate in staff training and conduct in-service education and staff meetings as needed. Order and maintain appropriate supplies for the assigned area, ensuring a process for supply security, PAR levels, etc., for each shift. Be authorized to obtain medication or contrast material for administration by a licensed practitioner, authorized/certified technologist, or registered nurse. Note that medications, including contrast materials, cannot be administered without appropriate clinical credentials, training, and certification. Maintain teammate records for assigned staff, documenting PTO, reasons for absences and tardiness, errors, exceptional performance, complaints, and conferences with individual staff members. Perform payroll functions, including documenting overtime and hours worked. Conduct performance appraisals and implement coaching, counseling, and discipline as needed, based on budget and policy guidelines. Maintain and communicate status reports related to patient throughput, equipment downtime, and supply charges. Assume responsibility for the care and safety of patients in the assigned area. Ensure processes for checking IVs, vents, and other equipment that patients were transported with. Continuously monitor patients while in treatment areas. Maintain a clean and safe working environment for patients and staff. Provide in-service education for staff on new equipment, procedures, safety policies, infection control, radiation safety, and various required electronic communication platforms. Ensure appropriate equipment quality assurance to maintain regulatory compliance and properly functioning equipment for quality diagnostic imaging. Report to/request engineering support as needed. Monitor and develop processes for accurate coding and chargemaster compliance to ensure correct billing of exams.
