Job Summary
Warehouse Associate will working sorting operations, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of inbound lots into their respective commodities based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and customer-specific work instructions.
This position requires attention to detail and a committment to maintaining high quality and safety standards.
```Duties```
- Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment.
- Sort, count, package, label, and inspect materials or items received.
- Store materials in bins, racks, shelves, or floor locations according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code.
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
- Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
- Open crates and other containers using hand tools.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
- Assist in counting of physical inventory.
- Weigh and count items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
- May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
```Experience```
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and cranes is desired.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks for extended periods of time.
- Experience with sorting
