Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Quality to join our team. This pivotal role will oversee all quality functions across our organization, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality control and compliance. The Director of Quality will also play a crucial role in managing quality aspects during the acquisitions of our Florida and Indiana locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Management:
- Oversee and manage all quality assurance functions to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in alignment with NADCAP and ISO 14001 standards.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Acquisitions Oversight:
- Lead and coordinate quality integration during the acquisitions of the Florida and Indiana locations.
- Ensure seamless quality transition and maintain consistency across all locations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve any quality-related issues during acquisitions.
- Compliance and Certification:
- Maintain and update quality documentation to comply with NADCAP, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards.
- Prepare for and lead internal and external audits, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformances and improve quality processes.
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide training and development opportunities for team members.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote quality awareness and best practices throughout the organization.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Report regularly to the President on quality metrics, improvement initiatives, and compliance status.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and present comprehensive quality reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- NADCAP/ISO audit experience.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in quality management roles, with a strong understanding of NADCAP and ISO 14001 standards.
- Demonstrated experience in managing quality functions during acquisitions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the aerospace, defense, or medical industries.
- Knowledge of additional quality standards and regulations.
- Six Sigma or other quality certification.
