We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development & Sales Manager to join our team.
Job Description:
Business Development & Sales Manager will be instrumental in identifying, pursuing and capturing new business opportunities, maintaining key client relationships, achieving sales targets and contributing to our ongoing growth in the aerospace sector.
In this role, you should have quantitative annual new business capture goals your work to and, are measured against.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and capture new business opportunities in line with Canard’s strategic objectives in a global environment.
- Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and proposing tailored solutions.
- Manage the online presence of the organization (including: social media, website, blog posts).
- Collaborate with the engineering and management teams to translate client needs into viable technical and business propositions.
- Contribute to the development and execution of capture plans and sales strategies.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and threats.
- Play a key role in proposal development, ensuring alignment with client requirements and Canard’s capabilities.
- Represent Canard at industry events, conferences, and professional associations.
- Achieve annual sales and new business capture goals.
- Provide weekly and monthly reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years sales experience in Aerospace manufacturing environment and Business Development experience (new account/new customer development), in the aerospace or defense sector.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States
- Knowledge of the aerospace industry and aircraft technologies.
- Technical knowledge with a working understanding of the technologies available within Canard products and services.
- Ability to execute the global market strategy.
- Strong business acumen and customer interaction experience, in both customer relationship management and development
- Must have proficient computer skills (MS Office Suite).
- Must have a strong understanding of the aerospace market.
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Must have ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must be able to travel as needed.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Working experience in interfacing with clients in the aerospace industry.
- Working experience in Program Management.
- Experience with CRM.
- Familiarity with Government Procurement Processes and Regulations.
- Experience in negotiating and closing deals.
