Position Title: Accounts Receivable and Invoicing Specialist
Location: Texas Recycling/Surplus, Inc.
Reports To: Accounting Manager
Job Summary: This position is responsible for:
- Invoicing and Billing:
- Prepare and issue invoices accurately and timely to clients.
- Ensure all billing information is complete and accurate.
- Monitor and manage billing schedules and deadlines.
- Accounts Receivable Management:
- Track and manage accounts receivable ledger.
- Process incoming payments, including checks, credit cards, and electronic transfers.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Customer Relations:
- Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and account statuses.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and manage collection efforts.
- Financial Reporting:
- Generate regular reports on receivables status and aging.
- Assist in month-end closing activities by ensuring all receivables are accounted for.
- Software Utilization:
- Utilize Sage accounting software for receivables management.
- Quickly learn and effectively use industry-specific software products as needed.
- Administrative Support:
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all receivables and transactions.
- Provide support for audits and other financial reviews.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office products.
- Working knowledge of Sage accounting software.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of integrity and professionalism in dealing with confidential financial information.
Education:
- 12 hours of college credit in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.
- Experience in a similar manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish).
Work Environment:
- This position is office-based.
- Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines.
