Production Manager
S*_ummary:* The Production Manager is tasked with efficiently managing production operations to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in paper bag manufacturing. This includes adherence to SQF code Ed. 9 and ISO requirements, as well as fostering a culture of safety and productivity within the manufacturing team._
Responsibilities:
- Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand, optimize resources, and coordinate with sales and supply chain teams.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control standards, analyze production abnormalities, and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor the production team, conduct performance evaluations, and implement training programs.
- Process Improvement: Analyze production issues, collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot problems, and ensure adherence to SOPs and SOCs.
- Cost Control: Manage production costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and analyze inventory to minimize material loss.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, enforce safety protocols, and take disciplinary actions for procedural violations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Paper production Industry, with a strong understanding of extrusion processes.
- Minimum of 7 years of Supervisory or Management experience.
- Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to handle job stress, work outside regular hours, and interact effectively with others.
