Oxford Hotels & Resorts is looking for qualified, full-time Front Desk Agent to join our great team at our King George & IAUS properties.
Oxford Hotels & Resorts is an award-winning full service hotel management company with a longtime track record in the ownership and operations of large-scale hotels, resorts and conference centers primarily in major metro markets within the United States. This portfolio experience includes a growing collection of independent lifestyle hospitality brands as well as properties affiliated with major international chains such as Hilton, Starwood/Marriott, Hyatt and IHG.
The Front Desk Agent will provide exemplary service to our guests and co-workers. This also includes being responsible for offering quality guest service as it pertains to checking in/out of hotel guests, and providing concierge services in a gracious and professional manner. Candidate will also greet guest as they arrive at and depart from the property and assists them with parking needs and the storage of luggage as needed.
Qualifications/Skills:
Essential:
1. Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.
2. Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
3. Ability to accurately compute and manipulate mathematical calculations.
4. Ability to complete audit procedures with accuracy and efficiency
5. Run end of day reports for both POS and PMS systems
6. Balance all credit cards using OPERA system
7. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
8. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger.
9. Ability to work well under pressure of check-in/check-out of guests and handle multiple tasks at once.
10. Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
11. Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.
12. Flexibility in schedule.
Desirable:
1. Previous guest relations training
2. Previous experience with automated property management system
3. Knowledge of Opera a plus
