We are currently looking for talented Sushi Chefs to join our East Village team.
Some Sushi Chef responsibilities but not limited to:
- Cutting, slicing and filleting different types of fish.
- Preparing various types of sushi dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
- Inspect the quality of ingredients used to prepare sushi dishes and informing the Head Chef when quality is sub-standard.
- Ability to listen to and facilitate special requests from customers
- Maintain a clean work environment in order to prevent food contamination.
- Reporting any problems with kitchen equipment to the manager on duty.
- Sterilize all utensils, instruments, and equipment used in sushi preparation before every use.
- Taking daily inventory of food supplies and other products.
- Ability to interact with customers and create a fun dining experience.
Compensation:
- $20 to $25 per hour, Plus Tips weekly depending on qualifications and experience
