Job Specifics: The School-Based Behavior Health Technician will be responsible for providing one-to-one interventions to a child, youth, or young adult, with a behavioral health diagnosis in a school setting, in support of the family or other responsible adults as defined by the child’s Treatment Plan in a specifically assigned school; transferring skills to identified adults in the child, youth or young adults life; complying with operating policies and procedures established for the assigned function supporting group therapy in the schools
This is a 10-month position working within a Philadelphia school following the public school schedule.
This is a Monday Friday, full-time position working in the school within the city of Philadelphia and must be able (and interested!) to travel daily and independently.
Requirements: Individuals shall meet one of the following criteria:
Have certification as a BCaBA, RBT or BCAT.
Must have a high school diploma and completion of the RBT task list training.
A minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children with behavioral health issues is preferred.
Knowledge of various mental health interventions to assist with child development and facilitate the development of therapeutic support skills in adults; knowledge of crisis management techniques; thorough knowledge of related standards, regulations, and procedures; proficient PC skills; visual and auditory skills; ability to stand, walk, run, stoop, and kneel.
Must have reliable transportation.
