We are currently seeking an experienced veterinary technician. We will offer you competitive pay and medical benefits. Weekends are not required for this position. The desired applicant will work 4 days a week. We are looking for someone that wants to make a long term commitment to our team and become a part of our surgical family. Applicants must pass a background check and a drug test.
Veterinary Technician Responsibilities:
- IVC placement and intubation of dogs and cats
- Performing radiographs daily
- Surgical prep for animals and equipment
- Calculating drugs daily
- Drawing blood samples for testing
- Monitoring animals under anesthesia
Veterinary Technician Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience as a veterinary technician. They need to be self motivated and a dedicated member of a team.
- Anesthesia and surgical experience
- Candidate for this position must be able to calculate drugs
- Appropriately restrain an animal for examination and catheter placement, maintain a sterile field and environment
- Prepare and clean up before and after surgery, patient preparation for surgery including shaving, radiographs, intubation, and moving into the surgical suite
