Day-to-Day Duties:
You will be responsible for providing customer service and coordination of freight movements to ensure a consistent, high level of service and quality for Triple B’s customer base. You will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
General Customer Service & Freight Coordination, to include the following functions:
- Providing quotations to Customers & Overseas Agents upon request
- Sending Pre-alerts to overseas agents
- Sending Arrival Notices to importers and agents
- Creating shipments in CargoWise
- Creating documentation including Interim Receipts, freight invoices, and freight labels. (complete shipment processing from start to finish)
- Determine Freight Prepaid / Freight Collect terms
- Confirm shipment incoterms
- Customer invoicing & vendor invoice accruals
- Providing timely updates to customers regarding shipment status (Shipment ATD, ATA, Delivery ETA, etc.)
- Coordinate with 3rd party trucking partners for pick ups & deliveries, where applicable
- Keep track of Proof of Delivery (POD) and upload into CargoWise for internal records and customer online tracking purposes
- Book shipments with carriers
- Sort and prepare end of day docs for next day jobs
- Coordinate with various internal teams and stations on the movement of freight
- Perform other duties assigned
Further to the functions above, cross training for Triple B’s additional service offerings will be provided
Job Requirements:
- Ocean and/or Air Freight Logistics experience required
- Import experience preferred
- Knowledge of hazardous materials/ dangerous goods regulations, OSHA, and DOT regulations preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) preferred
- Knowledge of CargoWise system a plus
- Must be able to drive in Hawaii
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills, multi-tasking and enjoy term work atmosphere
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
- Authorized to work in the USA
- Must pass drug screen and background check
Hours:
- M-F 8-5 General business hours, hourly or salary position with benefits and bonuses after probationary period
- Occasional early and/or late hours required to meet customer deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
