This position requires the willingness to travel in or out of state for up to multiple days/nights per week (Travel expenses covered, perdiem provided).
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, project management, and suppliers
- Interact with customers and or suppliers in solving customer service issues
- Daily Maintenance of tools and vehicles
- Evaluation of door and window issues and clearly communicate to office staff the issues and parts required
- Fill out daily detailed reports and keep records on services performed
- Remove old or broken glass and prepare surfaces for installation
- Replace damaged or broken glass panes
- Install weatherstripping or other seals around installed glass to prevent air or water leaks
- Warehouse duties including stocking inventory, loading and unloading semi-trailers and other duties assigned as necessary
- Installation of screens, adjust/replace window hardware, replace glass and/or sash, clean windows, and any other necessary adjustments
- Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment
- Install new products, and test them to ensure they are working correctly
- Removing debris, garbage, and hazardous materials from sites
- Measure and cut glass to specified dimensions when necessary
- Work with other construction professionals to ensure proper installation and finishing
Requirements:
- Experience as a glazier or in a related field strongly preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor
- Knowledge of OSHA construction jobsite requirements
- Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proficiency in caulking and sealing techniques for glass installation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues during installation
- Must be physically able to walk distances, bench and crouch, climb, and lift weight repetitively and for an extended period of time
-Ability to climb/work on a ladder, scaffolding, and at high elevations
- Willingness to attend training and become certified to repel from high buildings to access units in need of repair/replacement
-Willingness to operate/work with lift equipment and other heavy machinery
- Ability/willingness to travel and stay overnight for out of town services
