Responsibilities
The Shop Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper workmanship and professionalism of all the projects flowing through the shop. The Shop Manger plans, organizes, leads and controls the flow of work through the shop’s departments in a professional, timely manner while ensuring quality and on-time delivery. Our ability to provide quality equipment to our demanding customers is based on the high quality performance of our shop.
· Manage the shop work flow, set priorities and ensure on-time performance for the projects.
· Report on completion and provide estimated timelines for Management
· Provide timely, on-the-job assistance to technicians experiencing difficulty in understanding the drawings and instructions
· Review and check the work in to ensure accuracy and workmanship
· Meet regularly with Team Leaders and Managers
· Ensure that Technicians follow procedures and processes
· Administer safety policies and procedures
· Understand Federal, State, and local regulations, such as those governing OSHA, etc.
· Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology
· Other duties as assigned by management
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to supervise Technicians and schedule multiple projects
· Proven track record of achieving or over-achieving goals
· Familiar in Machine shop equipment (CNC, Waterjet, Break, Press, Punch) and Welding equipment
· Professional work ethic
· Ability to read and comprehend drawings and instructions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Factory: 5 years (Preferred)
- Warehouse supervisor: 2 years (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Copiague, NY: Relocate before starting work (Required)
