Trellis Management Co. is seeking a self-motivated individual to oversee all aspects of safety and security within the Trellis Management communities. This role will collaborate closely with Ownership, Leadership Team, Portfolio Managers and Site Managers to address challenging resident and property safety concerns, ensuring effective resolution and promoting a safe living environment for all residents.
Job Duties & Responsibilities will include:
- Provide guidance and support to Portfolio Managers and Site Managers in addressing complex resident and property safety concerns.
- Train and educate staff on conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
- Develop comprehensive safety protocols and guidelines specific to each location, considering unique characteristics and potential risks.
- Collaborate with the development team to incorporate safety and security considerations in the planning and construction phases of new projects.
- Develop and implement training programs for safety and concierge officers, focusing on relevant safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and customer service skills.
- Conduct routine and specific site inspections to assess the performance and adherence to safety protocols by safety and concierge officers.
- Regularly review and update safety plans based on emerging risks, industry best practices, and feedback from property management teams.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency response agencies to establish relationships and align safety plans with their protocols.
- Participate in discussions regarding insurance coverage, policy renewals, and claims management, providing input on safety-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in property and resident safety management, preferably in the multifamily housing industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm and neutral in high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Familiarity with security technologies, including surveillance systems and access control.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- IT and relevant to position computer skills for necessary report writing and documentation, as well as camera and security fob systems.
- Daily driving is required-Must have valid driver’s license, a dependable vehicle & valid vehicle insurance.
Full-time position, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri
Salary range: $75,000-$85,000 Annually/DOQ
