Job Description:
Teachers are entrusted with advancing the mission and vision of Frayser Community Schools. Reporting to the Director of Special Populations and Principal, all teachers are responsible for the development and execution of a standards-aligned curriculum, continuous improvement of instructional practices, and collaboration with other staff to meet the needs of the school.
Job Responsibilities:

Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations and differentiation for student learning

Collaborate with other members of staff for planning and implementing instructional goals, objectives, and best practices

Work cooperatively with teachers to modify curriculum for special education students as needed according to Individual Education Plans (IEP)

Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents
-
Plan and use appropriate instructional strategies, assessments, activities, materials, and technology that reflect accommodations for the individual needs of students
Job Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teaching License

Bachelor’s Degree Required

Experience in an urban school preferred
