Director
Position Summary
The director provides assurance of safe and efficient EMS operations, and quality pre-hospital emergency care by North Huntingdon Township EMS/Rescue personal and units to the township residents, visitors and surrounding communities. The Director will assure the coordinated supervision of staff and units as outlined by NHEMS policy and procedures as well as Westmoreland County and State of Pennsylvania guidelines. The director will interact with community and local government agencies and maintain a positive standing in the community. The director will be responsible for budget development, staff recruitment and retention and needs to support high level standards of training, performance, morale of staff, both volunteer and career.

Minimum job Requirements
· Minimum Bachelors of Science Degree.
· Knowledge and experience in EMS operations is required.
· Previous leadership experience.
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
· Prioritize work to meet goals and objective within an acceptable time frame.
· Work effectively as part of a management team.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
Certification and Licensure:
· Valid driver’s license.
· Current Pennsylvania Paramedic, Prehospital RN, or Prehospital Physician Extender certification.
· Eligible for AHN Medical Command within 6 weeks of hire.
· American Heart Association BCLS certifications or equivalent, PALS, ACLS, ITLS.
· Emergency Vehicle Operation Course (EVOC) certification.
· ICS 100, 200, NIMS 300, 400, & 700.
· PA Basic Vehicle Rescue Technician.
· Hazmat training per OSHA requirement.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
