Role:
As a lifeguard/EMT Service Associate your role is to represent 24 Hour Fitness to prospective members and guests positively; ensure they have a welcoming, safe, informative, and enjoyable experience when they visit; and help inspire them to take the right next steps in pursuing their fitness goals within the swim area. Maintain relationships with existing members and contribute to an overall high level of service and member satisfaction for the club. Assist and direct members/guests, monitor incoming inquiries, and ensure proper swim area rules are followed.
Responsibilities:
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Maintaining name relationships with members and serving as a resource for their questions or concerns, and putting them in touch with the right 24 Hour Fitness resources as appropriate.
- Being present in the swim area at all times, helping keep a clean and safe environment.
- Helping new members become comfortable in the club.
- Establishing relationship with 24 Hour Fitness through straightforward, open dialogue; and inspiring them to achieve their goals.
- Ensuring all members and guests follow the specific rules of the swim area.
- Commit to fully completing your daily tasks.
- Collaborate with the team to formulate ideas on how to best serve our members and guests.
- Be mindful of any emerging patterns of negative feedback from members and report to the Sales & Service Manager.
- Solve member inquiries swim area issues or facility questions.
Results:
- All daily tasks are completed to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- CPR/AED/BLS certification from approved organization to be considered for employment
- Must complete STP Front Desk Night training (includes STP Club Orientation and STP Club Safety) prior to working alone at the Front Desk
Preferred:
- Certified Lifeguard license as per the Suffolk County Health Department requirements
Compensation Summary
- $16 per hour
- Quarterly bonuses based on your position, hire and/or service date and your average hours worked
- Actual offer may vary from posted hiring range based on location, work experience, and/or education
Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for up to 3-6 hours and must talk and hear. The employee occasionally stands, walks, kneels, and reaches with hands and arms.
- May be required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
