We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Motor Specialist for the Kennesaw location. This is a hybrid opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting large, critical AC and DC motors globally. Lead and oversee our conversion from DC to AC motors in the next 10 years. This position is key to the operational continuity and performance of our mills and a large drive of losses globally. This position has high visibility in all levels of our operations.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and support Reliability and Maintenance practices to guarantee full utilization of DC and AC motors, enabling continuity of the operations.
- Develop strong collaboration with and between plants and be an advocate of company cultural beliefs.
- Ensure EHS values and standards are integrated throughout the motors’ projects
- Develop at a minimum one reliable supplier by region for DC/AC motors rebuilds and maintenance
- Develop/revise DC/AC motors maintenance, storage and rebuild standards and best practices
- Train and coach resources on plants for DC/AC motors corrective and proactive maintenance.
- Develop/revise plan and manage execution to gradually replace DC motors with AC motors
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate in Electrical, Electronic or other related Engineering field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in reliability and maintenance
- Knowledge of:
- Large DC and AC motors, synchronous and inductive
- Converters and Inverters in General AC / DC and AC / AC
- PLC’s and controllers, preferably Siemens, ABB, Rockwell, GE
- Substations and Transformers: Basic knowledge of Power Generation and Distribution, 138kv, 13.8kv, 440V
- Reliability tools: FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, basic reliability modeling
- Project management skills
- Availability to travel between 25% and 50% of the work time per year
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master degree in a related field is a plus
- Work experience in aluminum or steel mills
- Prior relationship with manufactures and motors services providers
- Experience with FMEAs and RCAs
