We are looking for a Dental Assistant who is willing to learn, responsible, and reliable to our dental team. We are a small size, well balanced, no double booking, no fast/rush paced private practice.
Hours
Monday - Thursday 8:00AM - 5:00PM with 1 hour lunch
No Friday, No Weekends

Responsibilities
- Prepare for treatments or checkups
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Taking digital x-rays
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Shared duties - Laundry of lab coats, vacuuming and taking the trash out
- Cross training will be provided - Check in, check out, schedule appointments, answering the phone, taking payments etc.
Skills
- Previous experience as dental assistant is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like taking impressions, pouring models
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
- X-ray certification is preferred but not required
- Expanded function is not required
- Team player, many roles will be voluntarily shared with other members as a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34 per week
