The Warehouse Worker will ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse by performing a variety of tasks including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. The role requires physical stamina and attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory and ensure timely shipment of goods.
Responsibilities:
Receive and unload incoming shipments of materials and products.
Inspect and verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders.
Report and document any discrepancies or damages in shipments.
Properly label and store materials and products in designated locations.
Organize warehouse space to optimize efficiency and accessibility.
Ensure products are stored safely and according to company guidelines.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and transactions.
Use inventory management software to track and manage stock levels.
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
Ensure accuracy and quality of orders before shipping.
Use appropriate packaging materials to protect items during transit.
Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently and safely.
Prepare shipping labels and documentation for outgoing shipments.
Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on warehouse equipment.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Keep the warehouse clean and organized to prevent accidents and facilitate workflow.
Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff and departments to achieve common goals.
Assist in training new warehouse employees as needed.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and orders.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
