Daycare Assistant Infant Teacher
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a passionate and nurturing individual to join our daycare team as a Daycare Assistant Infant Teacher. In this role, you will work closely with the lead infant teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 18 months. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the care and development of infants, ensuring their physical, emotional, and cognitive needs are met.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Assist the lead infant teacher in creating a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for infants.
2. Engage in age-appropriate activities to stimulate infants' physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
3. Provide basic care for infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting.
4. Observe and document each infant's progress, behaviors, and milestones.
5. Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized care plans for each infant.
6. Maintain open communication with parents, providing daily updates on their child's activities, progress, and any concerns.
7. Follow health and safety protocols, including proper hygiene practices and sanitation procedures.
8. Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up play areas and sanitizing toys.
9. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
10. Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere within the daycare center, promoting teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
**Qualifications:**
1. High school diploma or equivalent; Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.
2. Previous experience working with infants in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting.
3. Knowledge of infant development and age-appropriate caregiving practices.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with infants, parents, and colleagues.
5. Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with infants.
6. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
7. Reliable and responsible, with a commitment to the well-being and safety of the infants in your care.
8. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
9. Clear criminal background check and child abuse clearance.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
