Description Join our teams at Morse Sash and Door as an Estimator/Administration Assistant in our Commercial Hardware Department. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment where precision in estimating meets the need for efficient administrative support. You will play a pivotal role, dedicating approximately 80% of your time to accurate project estimation and 20% to essential administrative tasks.

BUSINESS HOURS: M-F, 7am-4:00pm (Flexible), Occasional Overtime Required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Estimator Duties:
· Regularly Monitor incoming bids and updates, ensuring timely review and comprehensive evaluation.
· Ensure the commercial department's estimating job files are meticulously updated with pertinent job-related information
· Promptly conduct a comprehensive review and de-scope analysis of incoming bid requests within the time period your manger assigns.
· Collaborate closely with the commercial hardware manager to assess bid requests.
· Conduct Take -Offs of entire building, focused on door hardware needs.
· Maintain accuracy of all pricing resources, paper and digital.
· Maintain current knowledge of product selections to include price points
· Work closely with vendors to understand product offerings, lead times, and negotiate the best pricing possible.
· Download and meticulously organize all prints and project files, adhering to filing protocols in the commercial cabinet * Physical and Electronic*
· Systematically organize and maintain bids and project documents to ensure accessibility and efficiency
· Efficiently complete bids and quotations as required, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· Facilitate necessary meetings with Pre Construction Clients and peers as required, ensuring effective communication and coordination
· Regularly update the commercial hardware manager on bid statuses, issues, and potential opportunities.
· Conduct thorough project estimates and cost analyses, utilizing industry-standard tools and methodologies to provide accurate and competitive pricing for bids and proposals.
· Learn the interdependencies of door hardware to commercial doors, understanding product specs.
· Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met for each estimate.
· Perform any other assigned duties as necessary to support the smooth operation of the commercial department
Administration Assistant Duties:
· Provide comprehensive assistance in project management activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking to facilitate timely project execution
· Utilize online portals and databases to electronically retrieve essential project-related information such as specifications and drawings.
· Thoroughly review and analyze project schedules to identify critical milestones during pre-construction.
· Facilitate seamless coordination and communication between departments involved in sash and door operations to optimize workflow and project efficiency.
· Accurately enter and maintain data relevant to commercial department operations, ensuring completeness and integrity of records.
· Deliver exceptional customer service both onsite and offsite.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
· Drivers License
· Microsoft Suite
· Detail Oriented
· Proficient with math
· Proficient with project management life cycles.

· Construction Industry preferred
· Documentation and Record Keeping
· Structured Self – Scheduler with flexibility to adjust priorities daily.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s degree Preferred
- 5yrs of Estimator/Project Management/Critical Thinking Role.
- Microsoft Suite with proficiency in Excel – 3 years
- Point Of Sale/Inventory/Purchasing - 3 years.
- Customer Relations – 3 years
- Ability to read floor plans strongly preferred.
