`Duties```
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Take impressions for dental restorations
- Perform dental charting and recordkeeping
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
```Skills```
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy
- Proficiency in medical imaging software for capturing and analyzing dental x-rays
- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating dental prosthetics
- Experience in assisting with various dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, and cleanings
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, such as Epic, for managing patient information
- Ability to take accurate vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse rate
- Knowledge of medical coding for accurate billing and insurance claims submission
- Strong understanding of human anatomy as it relates to dental procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the dental team
