Assistant Field Operations Manager (New York City Region)
Normal Hours: Full-Time Hours - Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and on call 24/7 for Emergencies
Work Locations: This position is for an individual who will work at our New York City Properties.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Have a solid understanding of each client site, the specific needs, and team schedules.
- Complete site tours regularly and meet with the management on a consistent basis.
- Interview, hire, and train new associates based on job requirements for superintendents, porters, night cleaners, front desk/concierge, etc.
- If coverage is unavailable, you may occasionally be required to fulfill superintendent or porter duties for one or more shifts.
- Proven experience supervising teams and have a source of new labor.
- Floor care experience: Stripping and waxing, floors, burnishing, carpet extraction and bonneting carpets
- Ensure job-specific on-the-job training is conducted as per OSHA requirements.
- Monitor performance and any applicable corrective action across all your sites.
- Manage all budgets for each site and across your area with a disciplined approach.
- Ensure that all necessary logbooks, timesheets, and tracking are placed at each site – will be responsible for weekly payroll submission.
- Maintain the highest level of Customer Focus and retention – ensure consistent satisfaction, and seamless business transitions.
- Perform site inspections/audits randomly and confirm that the staff is professional, in uniform, wearing the ID badges, as per spec/contracts indicate.
- Accessible to the clients, our management team, and your associates at all times – respond to and handle emergency situations as required.
- You will carry out supervisory responsibilities according to company policies and all applicable federal/state laws.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bilingual in Spanish
- 2+ years experience in a field supervisory or management level position.
- Proven ability to manage associates in multiple sites.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience in recruitment, training, and disciplining.
- Possess excellent communication skills, must be proficient in the English language; second language a plus.
- Highly organized, attention to detail, courteous and professional.
- Able to multi-task and perform well under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
- Solid understanding of MS Office.
