AKIRA Customer Service Returns Representative

Monday- Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Overview: This role will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound customer inquiries, email, and chat channels while ensuring the completion of all responsibilities within our service level agreements. As a returns associate, you will handle all customer returns, from the finance end to the physical inventory. This team member will be a great problem solver with the ability to pinpoint areas of inefficiency and provide continuous improvements. This role will focus on offering assistance to our customers with their returns and maintaining and building upon our reputation for best-in-industry customer service.

Essential Functions:
- Serve as the voice of AKIRA in delivering an excellent customer experience via chat, email, and phone.
- Provide timely and thorough resolution to customer inquiries regarding product details, order status, shipping information, or other troubleshooting as needed from both online and in-store interactions.
- As a returns associate, inspect and document all returns arriving back into the system—deciding if an item was returned in sellable condition, and if not, taking the appropriate steps to provide a resolution.There will be times when we need to apply a restocking fee, or deny a return based on the condition of the return, you will be expected to document, escalate the issue accordingly
- Customer correspondence regarding claim investigation results and any planned adjustments. Examples may be, lost/stolen orders, damages, missing items.
- Meet daily individual and team goals by managing time and meeting expectations for productivity.
- Achieve high-measured customer satisfaction both internally and externally.
- Professional in how you approach communicating upwards, always ensuring that you communicate in a timely manner and understand the varying weight of each issue to address them most effectively.
- Additional responsibilities may include picking, packing, putaway, replenishment, and wrapping of merchandise as well as the use of hand-operated equipment.
- Operate scanners/computers related to warehouse operations
- Handle other responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Experience using CRM software, familiar with carrier sites – Shopify/Gorgias knowledge is a bonus!
Minimum Qualifications:
- Highly motivated and driven to succeed.
- Action and goal-oriented, as well as KPI driven.
- Move product, supplies and/or boxes repetitively; ability to push, pull, lift a maximum of 50 lbs. based on needs of the role
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
- Excellent written, oral, and communication skills as well as excellent presentation abilities.
- Proficient in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite.
- Very strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
- Thrive in a fast-paced work environment and embrace solving complex challenges.
- Collaborative and hard-working problem solver.
