ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:
- This position reports to the Finance Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Finance Associate supports the Company's strategic planning efforts by working with the Commercial and Operations groups to prepare financial forecasts as well as analyze the impact of new commercial arrangements and updated commercial terms. The Finance Associate is responsible for maintaining, updating and improving the corporate business models, including modeling new business units and running sensitivities and scenarios to guide the decision-making process for the strategic direction of the company. Prepares reports based on the model outputs for senior management to use in meetings with board members, lenders and owners of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides financial analysis in support of the Commercial and Finance groups, to include variance analysis of results versus forecasts, budgets vs assumed commercial terms, and other FP&A work
- Maintains, updates, and improves the company model that is shared with the Private Equity owners of the company to provide financial forecasts based on existing and potential contract terms
- Prepares monthly internal reporting packages for all business lines and assists in the preparation of external presentations for Board meetings, lender updates and investor calls
- Builds financial compliance packages for lenders each quarter to include compliance certificates, financial statements and any other required documents per credit agreements
- Prepares recurring or ad hoc financial reports and analysis or cost benefit analysis, including sensitivity and scenario analyses, to support and provide insight for management decision-making
- Interprets complex financial information and recommends and implements solutions to key financial and operational opportunities such as liability management, capital raising and mergers/acquisitions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required If Bachelor's, at least 2-3 years of related experience and accountability for complex tasks and/or projects required
- A Masters degree in Business Administration or in Finance may be substituted for work experience
- Must have strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of programs
