Overview: Lug Away Junk Removal is an Award Winning Junk Removal Company servicing The Greater Boston Area and MetroWest. Our services range from cleaning out a garage, hauling away construction debris and tearing down old sheds. Lug Away was founded in 2017.

We pride ourselves in being “The Team that Gets IT Done!” To ensure team members become and remain this way, we have an Operations Manager in Training position focused on Building Leaders and Pursuing Growth while providing 5 Start Service. The Operations Manager in Training will lead from the front with our Mission Statement and Guiding Principle. They will be assigned a Mentor to oversee their training so that they can complete the training and fulfill the role of Operations Manager.
With regards to Responsibilities while working in the field, they are listed below:
Responsibilities: Arrive to work each day with a positive attitude and ready to learn, work and overcome
- The Morning Huddle is at 0635am; team members are expected to arrive 5 minutes early to clock in
- Scheduled M-F, working on the truck daily. Saturdays as needed
- Uniform is a Black Polo, Khaki/Tan pants, Black/Brown/Tan Shoes/Belt, White/Black/Gray Undershirt is permitted, LAJR ball cap only, Black Sweatshirt and Winter Coat provided
- Professionally participate and assist in leading the Morning Huddle
- Schedule weekly Washing of Trucks
- Ensure Truck Checkout and Equipment Inventory Checklist are complete daily
- Ensure all tasks on the Before Leaving the Shop Checklist are completed
- Conduct Driver’s Training with all new hires and ensure all current employees are briefed on Driver’s safety on a weekly basis.
- Lead the day from the field, establishing crew assignments, making logistical decisions, and ensuring all estimates are sent before end of business each day.
- Competency on all facets inside our CRM WorkIz
- Lead Mentees through the 12 and 52 week training program
- Conduct Probie and Quarterly evaluations with mentees
- Lead and participate in End of Day checklist
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Basic Requirements:
- Must be able to lift over 90 lbs. easily and be able to carry ladders safely.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be 21 or older.
- Must be able to operate in the field, working on the truck daily.
1st 12 Weeks of Training:
- DOT Physical completed within first week
- Sign off on Driver & Remover Manual within first 4 weeks
- Complete and Pass Lug Away History Quiz within first 4 weeks
- Read Extreme Ownership and Pass Extreme Ownership Quiz within first 4 weeks
- Crew Chief Manual Signed Off within 8 Weeks
- Crew Chief Certified within 12 weeks
Compensation Package:
- Operations Manager in Training Starting Pay: $30-40/hour Based on Experience DOE
- $400/Bi weekly KPI Bonus based on Performance
- Veteran Hiring Bonus: $300 ($50 Paid Bi-Weekly after completion of 1st Full Pay Period)
- 4 Week Probationary Completion Bonus: $300

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
