Job Description:
The position of Exhibitions Coordinator reports to the CEO. The Exhibition Coordinator and the Exhibition Committee assist with the organization of exhibitions and installations and other special projects. Within the Exhibitions Department, the Exhibitions Coordinator will assist Exhibition committee and VAC staff with daily operations, and serve as liaison with outside institutions, contractors, Curatorial, Education, Marketing, and Development Departments.
Duties:
· This position assists in any way necessary to keep the Venice Art Center (VAC) operating in an efficient manner.
· Works cooperatively with other staff members, volunteers and instructors. Includes evening and weekend hours when necessary.
· This position requires experience in office hardware and software, constant contact, publisher, and Photoshop.
· Organize receiving, hanging and awards.
· Assist at art opening receptions.
· Maintains a welcoming and professional working environment and ensures great customer service. Serves as a liaison for artists, volunteers and staff.
· Assist and ensure TDC grants data collection.
· Assist in the completion of the exhibition schedule.
· Create ads and ensure they are completed and submitted.
· Organize Exhibition committee meetings.
· Make sure that the juror info is collected and juror is set up.
· Create all exhibition marketing materials, including constant contact and Facebook.
· Office duties include telephone assistance, data entry, email, mailings, and other duties as requested by the CEO.
· Help in short term special projects as needed by CEO: website, course guides, bulk mail prep, staff training and anything else requested.
Skills
· Proficient in basic computer applications, such as word processing, publisher, Photoshop, constant contact, social media, spreadsheets, and internet usage
· Record keeping skills (for grant purposes and marketing)
· Graphic arts skills
· Gallery/exhibition experience
· Website skills

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
