The Financial Planning Specialist is integral in calculating and developing detailed, holistic financial planning advice to our clients. Our financial planning process follows that of the Certified Financial Planner’s board of standards.
Your talents will take our financial planning team to the next level by:
- Preparing and updating financial plans for clients and prospective clients using cash flow based Financial Planning Software. (NaviPlan by InvestCloud)
- Thorough review of client statements, legal documents, and other data elements that complete the clients’ financial picture
- Staying current on estate and tax law changes and ensure these changes are reflected in clients’ plans
- Asking effective questions and listen actively to client needs to ensure the success of their financial goals and plans
- Being an active participant within the Financial Planning Department Meetings to continuously improve the department processes/workflows and deliverables.
- Presenting client plan deliverables within client meetings in confident, clear, concise manner.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field (CFP Accredited Program Preferred)
- Proficient within MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Salesforce CRM or other Client Relationship Management software, and Cash Flow Based Financial Planning Software (NaviPlan Preferred)
- Keen attention to detail, and ability to explain such details to advisors and clients in a clear, concise, and simplified manner
- Problem solving skills paired with initiative to drive resolution independently
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and shift gears rapidly to address client needs
- Exemplary professionalism and personal integrity
- To adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by Ameriprise and Regulators (FINRA and SEC)
Ideally, you will have:
- Outstanding ability to think on your feet and empathize with high-net-worth clients to resolve issues
- Problem solving skills paired with initiative to drive resolution independently
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and shift gears rapidly to address client needs
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills including demonstrating positivity in conduct, verbal, and written interactions
- Highly collaborative approach to excelling within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- CFP designation or graduated from accredited college CFP program.
- Been exposed to the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
