Coastal Medical Transportation Systems is seeking a Director of Communications to join our growing team in our Quincy location! Our Coastal family is rapidly expanding and we are seeking someone who will share in the enthusiasm and passion to help drive our mission!
Purpose: Under the direction of the Vice President, Communications and Technology, and the Chief Quality Officer, the Director of Communications plays a critical role in overseeing the efficient operation of the dispatch / communications center.
This position is responsible for managing a team of dispatchers / telecommunicators and call takers, implementing and improving dispatch policy and protocol, ensuring timely and accurate deployment of ambulances, and maintaining effective and polished communication with internal and external customers.
The Director of Communications collaborates with other departments to optimize resource allocation, improve response times, and enhance overall operational
effectiveness. This position requires an innovation-focused, growth-minded, entrepreneurial mindset to lead our evolving communications center.
Minimum Qualifications

5-7 years of experience in healthcare serving in a leadership role

Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve company goals.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with staff, customers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.

Strategic thinking and planning abilities to develop and implement operational initiatives that align with the company'ss objectives.

Financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to ambulance services, including HIPAA, OSHA, OEMS and state/local regulations.

Proficiency in using relevant software and technology for operational management, such as EMS dispatch systems, Power BI, VLI, and scheduling software.
