Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Tasting Room Manager to oversee the operations and staff within our establishment. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional customer service and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Duties:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the tasting room which includes tastings,
- visitor relations, and staff performance
- Train and supervise tasting room employees
- Create and execute engaging, educational, and memorable positive experiences for guests
- Effectively suggest and sell wine & club memberships to customers
- Positive execution of winery and guest events
- Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of our winery and our wines
- Greets all visitors to the Winery and pours wines for tasting
- Educate customers about wine, the history of our winery and vineyards
- Assist customers with transporting wine to customer vehicles when needed
- Answer visitor questions and able to provide general tourist information
- May be assigned other tasks or be asked to participate in other activities both on-site and off-site as needed, and additional duties related to wine and/or customer service
Skills:
- Proficient in food safety practices
- Experience in bartending and beverage service
- Strong customer service orientation
- Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Background in the food industry or hospitality sector
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in banquet operations or as a dietary aide is a plus
