Position Purpose:
The Technology Returnship Program is a guided training and role immersion
program to reorient experienced professionals returning to the workforce
after a career interruption. Returnship candidates will be placed in a 12-week skills refresh boot camp. During these 12 weeks, candidates will be given a customized learning plan. After which, you will be placed on a team for an additional 12-week job shadow.

Participate in learning activities around modern software design and development core practices (communities of practice)

Work under the direction and guidance of the OrangeMethod instructors to build well-rounded skillsets in server-side and client-side software engineering

Proactively view articles, tutorials, and videos to learn about new technologies and best practices being used within other technology organizations

Review and discuss code to understand best practices and design patterns

Increase business acumen by learning about other parts of the business
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

This role reports to a Software Engineer Manager or Sr Manager.

This position has no direct reports.
Physical Requirements:
-
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Ability to commit to a 26-week full-time course (Monday to Friday during business hours).
