Leadership and Management:
- Overseeing daily operations: This involves ensuring the smooth running of the preschool, including staff scheduling, following safety protocols, and creating a positive work environment.
- Staff management: You'll be responsible for hiring qualified teachers, and conducting performance evaluations
- Curriculum development: Working collaboratively with teachers, you'll help create and implement a curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards and fosters the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of the children.
- Budgeting and finance: This includes managing the preschool's budget, overseeing financial transactions, and fundraising if needed
- Hold staff meetings monthly
- Attend once or twice a month evening meetings
Communication and Collaboration:
- Family engagement: Building strong relationships with parents and guardians is key.
- Sending news letters
- Open communication with families and staff
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment by overseeing regular cleaning and maintenance of the preschool facilities.
- Working with Haymount United Methodist Church to share and communicate on activities and schedules.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field is usually required.
- Experience working with young children and in a preschool setting is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are a must.
- A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $29,000.00 - $34,500.00 per year
