Responsibilities
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall management and education of multiple members of the care team including, regarding best practices, regulatory requirements, and clinical workflows. Serves as a leader, role model and liaison for the care team, ensuring quality patient-centric care at the medical offices. Responsible for educational support for all care team activities.
The Nurse Manager may manage up to two medical offices. In conjunction with the Practice Administrator, facilitates supervisory functions including, but not limited to, applicant screening and selection, orientation, training, supervising, co-administration of performance evaluations, disciplining and, as appropriate, terminating the nursing staff on the care team. The Nurse Manager is accountable for incorporating the nursing process into all interactions involving nurses and medical assistants. Interfaces with the physicians and all staff members as it relates to care team process.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 2 years of hire & completion of BSN within 5 years required
- 5+ years experience as a Registered Nurse required
- 2+ years of supervisory or teaching experience required
- Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Health or Business Administration preferred
- Outpatient ambulatory care experience preferred

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the work is being performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on each case’s facts and circumstances. Union roles covered by a collective bargaining agreement will compensate in accordance with the union contract.
